This Is Not For You.

The elevator has brought you here with a few supplies. You'll need somewhere to sleep, water you can use, and a lamp strong enough to grow food under. There are more than enough rooms. Finding one you can live in takes some work.

CORRIDOR is a first-person survival game about making a home in an enormous concrete structure. Carry soil back to your trays. Work out which switch powers the light. Take a tin with you when you go looking for water, and mind the edge of the stairs.

Other people have lived here. Some have left useful things behind. Some left notes for whoever came next, or an address where they could be found. You may want to keep a few of their things.

In this prototype

  • Scavenge food, equipment, furniture and small belongings from procedurally generated floors.
  • Grow greens, connect water and power, and find time to sleep.
  • Use physical keycards to travel between 99 connected floors. Your carried belongings and everything inside the elevator go with you.
  • Explore narrow passages, open drops, claustrophobic air vents, and dark catwalks.

If you die, another person arrives years later.

This is an early survival prototype. There's no ending to reach yet; see how long you can keep going.

As a prototype, some systems will be incomplete. Further development will happen, sooner if reception is good and the basic idea has legs, later if it does not as a passion project.

Before you head out

Play on a computer with a keyboard and mouse. Save from FILE before closing. Browser saves live in that browser's site storage; clearing it can erase your progress.

  • WASD movement with mouselook - gamepad support will arrive at a later date.
  • E to Use
  • R to Pick Up
  • Q to Put Down
  • F to Toggle
  • Z to open inventory
  • C to crouch, for crawling and scrubbing
  • Tab to switch hands

Your inventory doesn't pause. However, PAUSE and FILE do.

Tell me how it went

I'd especially like to know where you got confused, what you wanted to bring home, and whether you managed to grow something to eat. For bugs, include the floor number and your browser or operating system. A screenshot helps.
