Really interesting concept. Definitely needs a better way of indicating when you take damage. Maybe an explosion that clears all bullets on the screen. There is a blind spot to the sides so yellow bullets can com at you from an angle where it is impossible to deflect them. Just realized you can move up and down, so there should probably be a way to attack in different directions. Maybe a twin stick style system. The ball should be it's own color so there's no chance of confusing it with the bullets. Not sure if the cyan system really works, it's kind of awkward that I can deflect one set of bullets but not the bullets produced when they hit a block. Being able to chain deflections and rack up a big combo would feel super cool. The purple bullets should have a different behavior when deflected because they currently have almost no chance of doing anything useful. Changing the shape and layout of the blocks could also be an interesting idea. Power-ups could be cool to. Maybe a multi-ball power-up or one that eliminates the cooldown on smacking so you can swing super fast.
